This crash course is designed to give you just enough Spanish to use when you’re away. In five one-hour sessions, you will learn a small set of high-frequency expressions, simple sentence patterns, and essential vocabulary for real situations.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Handle basic interactions in Spanish (ordering, asking for things, getting attention)

• Ask simple questions such as where something is or how much it costs

• Recognise key words related to food, places, and services

• Rely on simple strategies (repetition, pointing, reformulating) when communication breaks down.
