ONE TO ONE CLASSES (IN-PERSON & ONLINE)/ FLEXIBLE GROUPS ONLINE

GENERAL

HACKNEY SPANISH acts as an introduction service connecting students with independent tutors. Tuition is supplied directly by the tutor.

A minimum commitment of five hours of tuition is required, with fees payable in advance to HACKNEY SPANISH, who collects tutor fees on behalf of the tutor.

Students and tutors are responsible for agreeing lesson times and arrangements directly.

Prepaid sessions must be used within three calendar months from the date of the first session.

Unused sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.

PAYMENT

HACKNEY SPANISH acts as an agent for independent tutors. Tutor fees are collected on behalf of the tutor and passed on to them. HACKNEY SPANISH charges a separate agency fee for arranging and administering lessons. HACKNEY SPANISH’s role is limited to introducing students to tutors and administering payments.

All fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Tuition fees must be paid in full at least 48 hours before the first session of a five-session block. If payment is not received on time, classes will not begin or will be suspended until the outstanding balance is cleared.

Tuition and agency fees may be reviewed and adjusted annually in line with inflation and rising operational costs.

Invoices not settled within the agreed timeframe may be subject to late payment interest and recovery procedures, which could include third-party collection services or legal action. Any additional costs incurred in the recovery of unpaid fees will be the responsibility of the student.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation and attendance policies are set by the tutor, as the supplier of the tuition.

As a reference, missed sessions (no-shows) may be charged in full, at the tutor’s discretion. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full, at the tutor’s discretion. Late arrivals may be accommodated at the tutor’s discretion, subject to availability.

If for any unforeseen reason a tutor is unable to finish a package of five classes, HACKNEY SPANISH will assist with finding another suitable tutor to complete the block, but does not guarantee continuity.
