Since mid-March 2020, in order to guarantee the safety of our students and tutors during the Covid-19 pandemic, all our group and one to one classes have taken place online. Since the lift of the restrictions we are back teaching one to one in our office in Newington Green.

This is an ongoing situation and changes are not unavoidable but certainly possible. In order to inform our decisions we keep up to date with the UK Government’s Covid-19 Guidance.

Please read the guidance and terms and conditions below, as these will be central to our safe operation.

COVID-19 GUIDANCE

We invite our students to wear a mask — unless exempted — and to make use of the free lateral flow test service provided by the NHS, in order to test for Covid-19 on a regular basis.

  • If you you have any Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend class and follow government advice.

  • If you test positive of Covid-19 and suspect you could have attended a class while infected, please notify the tutor. Government guidance will be followed for suspected exposure, as this varies according to vaccination status, among other things.

  • If a tutor either contracts Covid-19 or is suffering any symptoms and/or needs to self-isolate, the class will be moved online, as long as the tutor is well enough to teach.

  • If there is an outbreak of Covid-19 in the school, or government advice changes, all classes will be held online again.

  • COVID-19 SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • No refunds, deferrals or credits will be granted for any Covid-19 illness.

  • In the case your classes have to be moved online totally or partially due to changes in government advice, no partial or total refunds, deferrals or credits will be granted. Classes will move back on-site at the first available opportunity.

  • Hackney Spanish is not responsible for your arrangements for online learning. Regrettably, we can’t help with your broadband speed or the quality of your computer.

  • Our regular terms and conditions continue to apply. Please inform yourself here.

  • Thanks for reading this in its totality. Let us know if something isn’t clear.
